Description

This excursion is designed for wheelchair users and those with mobility problems.

Berlin is one of the most exciting cities on the planet – the wildchild of Germany that boasts one of the richest, most diverse and exciting cultural scenes in Europe. The city has also been the stage for some of the most momentous and tragic events in recent history. Let us show you the very best of the German capital in the time that you have ashore, and remove the stress of making special travel arrangements.

You will be greeted in front of your cruise ship as soon as it docks and shown to a private vehicle equipped with easy access for wheelchairs and mobility scooters. Your professional driver will then transfer you through the picturesque flatlands of former East Germany to Berlin.

When you reach the city you will be met at the stunning Schloss Charlottenburg by a professional English speaking tour guide (we hire only the best). You will then be driven through the heart of former West Berlin – passing the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church and the Kurfürstendamm – toward the historical city centre in the former East to see Berlin’s essential sites and monuments. See the Reichstag, journey through the Memorial for the Murdered Jews of Europe, explore a stretch of the Berlin Wall, cross the border between East and West at Checkpoint Charlie, see the site of Hitler’s Bunker, the Museum Island and much, much more.

Your guide will provide an in-depth commentary, helping you understand the sites and what makes the city and its people tick, and then accompany you back to the Schloss Charlottenburg at the end of the Berlin portion of the tour. You will then be driven back to port.

All of our shore excursions are adjusted to each ship’s docking times and each starts promptly after your vessel’s arrival, returning with plenty of time to spare before its departure. We have been organizing shore excursions for nearly a decade and have never missed a cruise ship’s departure. All you need to do is sit back, stress-free, and enjoy the ride.

If you have any other special requirements please let us know, we’ll do our best to accommodate your needs and help you make the most out of your trip to Berlin.
